Dear Partners,
Friends and Supporters,

We welcome the Year 2024 (the Year of the Dragon) with greater hopes and aspirations. The world continues to be faced with the travesty of war and conflict, natural disasters and the impact of the increase in interest rates and inflation. Here in Japan, our citizens in the Hokuriku region suffered through a series of earthquakes with lives lost and families displaced from their homes. We must be benevolent, compassionate and kind to those in need. We are proud of the action that the NSSK Group has taken to embrace this philosophic approach and want to thank the 20,000 plus employees and their families for all of their contributions to their companies and their communities!

Also, the past year saw the sudden and broad introduction and deployment of generative Artificial Intelligence into our everyday lives. Not that long ago, AI was something for the movies and sci-fi thrillers. It is now omnipresesent. We are in the “ai-volution” phase where each of us are learning how to better deploy this powerful new technology. Before we know it, we will realize that it was “r-ai-volutionary” and understand why there is and will continue to be debates about how generative AI should be regulated. In any event, the NSSK leadership team has made a pledge to “ai-volutionize” the private equity business processes at our Firm! Will keep you posted.

At NSSK, we continue to be dedicated to providing creative solutions for business owners and companies looking to potentially sell their business or divisions. In fact, we have won the Firm of the Year Japan five times over the past seven years). The vote of confidence we receive from the industry and our network are deeply appreciated and never taken for granted.
